Fragrant bottlebrush flowers dance above the lovely deep purple foliage. They are a rich mauve-pink colour when they open and lighten to white as they age. Though tolerant of a full range of light conditions, Actaea (formerly Cimicifuga) are a great way to add fragrance to the shadier garden.
